Small details,

big difference

After finishing a house build or a renovation or if you’re putting your home on the market, often clients find they are needing some finishing touches, little updates & some movement of items to bring their space together & really help it be seen the way they have envisioned the finished product, that’s where we come in. We can create a list of recommendations or simply turn up with a selection of goods & make a start & from there fill in any gaps, sometimes ordering in custom items or a special unique or vintage piece.

Project 01

Pre market finishing touches to a lounge setting in an Arrowtown cottage. Items on hand were the lamp, couch, coffee table & Pineapple cushion, from there we filled the room with complimentary products to complete the space. A wool throw, Linen blend stripe cushion, framed ski prints to fill the space. Then we added some rustic artisan vases, LED candles, a hand forged candle snuffer & decorative coffee table book to add some charm & make sure it looked like we didn’t style it all in a day.

Project 02

Millbrook Resort Arrowtown Restroom finishing touches. The restrooms had just undergone a lovely remodel but needed some items to bring it all together. For this space we sourced some NZ photographic art, selecting a different one for each bathroom. Wooden tissue boxes & blackened terracotta vases with local dried foliage for the sink spaces.

Project 03

Millbrook Resort Arrowtown, Clubhouse Bar area. Here we needed to finish the area decoratively, a nod to the fact it is a functioning bar but it is not used as such for most of the time since the area also is in use as the Resorts breakfast area. I hand decorated & created new (made to look slightly aged) labels for the bottle & filled them with dried flowers to add colour & used French jars filled with dried fruit as an alternative look in the glass cabinets. I also filled a metal Champagne bucket with a bunch of local dried flowers to sit on the front of the bar to fill the space & tie it all in together

Big ideas, real Impact

Project 04

Sotheby’s pre market bedroom refresh. As this space hadn’t been live in before we wanted to just show the purpose of the room but the client didn’t want to go over the top with filling the room. All the basics were there so I just had to finish with a bit of art for the walls, some cosy wool throws & cushions to match, making sure everything photographed well before the property went to market

It’s all in the finishing touches

Project 05

Sotheby’s Pre Market finishing touches to small lounge. The furniture was supplied & from there I filled the gaps with glassware, soft furnishings, lamps, vases, trays & art to achieve a warm, homely & lodgey look to the space, it flowed out onto a schist patio area that housed the hot tub, the idea was to add warmth & cosiness to this space

Project 06

Millbrook Resort Clubhouse. For the newly renovated clubhouse area there were a few narrow shelves to fill. I sourced natural wood trays & some organic finished stoneware to begin the shelves. I used small accents of muted gold to add a bit of life to the area, showcased some of the local produce in the trays, added some colour with dried roses, foliage & a few fresh herb plants to keep it looking fresh

Project 06

Millbrook Resort Clubhouse. There were many more shelves here to fill. I filled with local preserves & was supplied some vintage books to stack & scales to fill some space. I ordered in some authentic looking tins of golden syrup & added some vessels & stoneware to other gaps. As the area opens early in the morning some lighting accents, lamp & LED candles in cement holders were added to the front counter along with some Sicilian stoneware pots to anchor the welcome area
